The AgroSense system system services in the drive
Growing in greenhouses and foil tunnels
Growing in greenhouses requires the greatest investment, the most careful attention, and can also generate the greatest profit per square meter. Over the past few decades, this area has been steadily evolving, with more and more substrates, more accurate climate models, resistant varieties, biological control and pollination, and plant energy calculations. Farmers need to pay attention and learn. They need to understand which of the many cultivation technologies that are driving forward and which cannot be successfully applied to a given culture or growing environment.
The AgroSense system measures and records the characteristics of the crop, including the environment, in 10-minute increments. Soil or media moisture, air temperature and humidity, conductivity and radiated energy all influence the physiological processes of plant development. These should be measured well and accurately. AgroSense can help with this, and by further processing the data and applying it in the right models, we aim to provide direct assistance in optimizing irrigation, nutrient management and climate control.

The importance of temperature in the growing equipment
The purpose of foil tents and greenhouses is to control the temperature and humidity of the crop, in particular. The greatest profit can be made outside of the normal growing season, and the lower temperature conditions must be excluded. The greenhouse effect retains the heat energy generated by the incident light and, at higher temperatures, the plants develop faster and bring forth flowers and fruits. This effect can be further enhanced by geothermal or fuel based heating.
But what helps to retain heat in winter or early spring can overheat the plant habitat in late spring and summer, damaging the proteins in the plants and the fruit.
With AgroSense, you always know exactly what the temperature in the growing equipment is, when heating has stopped or when ventilation or cooling needs to be opened / started.
Role of humidity in growing equipment
High humidity, or sometimes low humidity, can endanger plants, cause fungal infections, or even fail to bloom and possibly damage the crop.
With AgroSense, you can always see 2-3% exactly how much relative humidity you have in your tent or greenhouse and decide in time whether to humidify or ventilate.
Irrigation, nutrition in hydrocultural crop production
Plants basically utilize the energy of irradiated photosynthetically active radiation. This can be clearly observed after sunrise with the immediate and rapid reduction of the medium or soil moisture. The plants use the energy to evaporate and begin to absorb water and nutrients through the roots. The latter, if the plants only cool themselves, are left in the growing medium, and the salts thus accumulated may even damage the root system. It follows that water supply is very important, and the smaller the growing medium, the more important it is that no irrigation is left out, as it can cause permanent damage to the plants but also to the structure of the medium.
With AgroSense, you can check every 10 minutes that the water in the growing medium is correct. You can receive an email or SMS alert when your preset limit is exceeded.
